Congratulations to Mike Lee, from Dearborn Heights, on his first NSBA title held at Troy Lanes in Troy on August 14, 2010.   Mike, qualifying 4th, took home the top prize of $1,000 with wins over Dave Forfitt of Canada, 245-155, Rick Parschen from Strongsville, Ohio, 248-237, Terry Bialkowski of Canada, 198-187 and in the title match, defeated Tim Magyar from Redford, 216-204.

Dave Eatmon of Ferndale won the National Senior Bowling Association’s tournament held at Colonial Lanes in Ann Arbor on July 10.  Eatmon took home the top prize of $1,000 with a 245-216 triumph over Ken Kossick of Commerce Twp. Kossick settled for the runner-up check for $500.

Congratulations to Larry Walker of Garden City in winning the National Senior Bowling Association’s tournament held at Skore Lanes on June 12, 2010. Walker qualified 12th and beat Jack Dalie from Springfield, Ohio, 223-190, Mark Hatchigian of Novi, 188-168 and Rick Vittone form Canada, 227-223 to advance to the final match.

Joe Buffa, of Macomb Twp.,  won the National Senior Bowling Association’s tournament and the top prize of $1,000 on Saturday, May 8th at SuperBowl in Canton. The win put Joe in the lead for bowler of the year honors. Buffa, qualifying 2nd, defeated  Bob Frink of Washington, 269-189, Mike Abbey from Jackson, 248-222 and Jeff Lisinski from Wauseon, Ohio, 243-165 to advance to the finals.

Dave Tulak from Taylor won the NSBA tournament and the top prize of $1,000 on Saturday, April 10th. The tournament was held at Westland Bowl in Westland. Tulak qualified 10th and beat John Pretari of Flat Rock, 267-201, John Millen, Jr. from Redford, 227-214 and Jim Rock from Kalamazoo, 236-179 to advance to the title match.

Ross Beers became the first bowler in 3 years to win back-to-back titles. Beers, from Saginaw, qualified 6th and beat Robert Michaux, Jr., from Detroit 217-207, Steve Sears of Michigan Center, and 247-207 and proceeded to edge Ralph Jennings from Detroit, 235-234 to advance to the title match.

The National Senior Bowling Association continues to grow as 80 plus bowlers competed at Bowl One Lanes in Troy on February 13. Ross Beers from Saginaw won the top prize of $1,000 in a game that wasn’t decided until the final ball was thrown. He emerged with a 268-258 win over Dave Forfitt of Canada. Forfitt settled for the runner-up check of $500.

The National Senior Bowling Association started 2010 in roaring fashion as 96 bowlers filed into 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights on January 2. Ken Kossick, qualifying 23rd, from Commerce Twp. beat James Millen, Jr. of Redford, 221-193 to take home the first place check of $1,000 and the championship trophy.
