October 2011 Results

Gerald Johnson from Riverview led all qualifiers and went on to win the National Senior Bowling Association’s October tournament for his first win in the NSBA. Johnson started with wins over Dan Mytty of Livonia, 244-220, Dick Selgo from Archbold, Ohio, 195-194 and Larry Franz from Redford, 222-212 to advance to the title match.

In a tight match all the way to the 10th frame, Gerald emerged with a 211-200 win over Steve Jakubowski from Temperance. Johnson received the championship trophy along with the $1,000 first place check for his effort.

Jakubowski, qualifying 3rd, beat Dave Tulak of Taylor, 255-207, Joe Krajenke from Clinton Twp., 214-178 and Dan Mayer of Waterford, 226-214. Steve received the runner-up check of $500 for his efforts.

Tournament Director Bob Pniewski presents the trophy to this month's champion.
