ImageCongratulations to Rick Capaldi from Canton on his win at the National Senior Bowling Association’s November tournament. The event was held at Plaza Lanes in Plymouth on November 12th. and was the highest scoring event of the year.  Capaldi qualified 3rd and had  wins over Dick Selgo from Archbold, Ohio, 247-235, Larry Walker from Garden City, 245-222 and Larry Franz from Redford, 195-192 to advance to the title match.

In a match that wasn’t decided until the 10th frame, Rick, sitting on the bench, came away with a 214-204 win over Dennis Korkoske of E. Lansing.  Capaldi received the championship trophy along with the $1,000 first place check for his effort.

Korkoske, qualifying 12th, beat Steve Sears from Michigan Center, 225-220, Greg Cohen of Livonia, 247-236 and Dave Forfitt from Canada, 269-209. Dennis received the runner-up check of $500 for his efforts.


Tournament Director Bob Pniewski presents the trophy to this month's champion.
