Congratulations to Dave Tulak from Taylor on winning his 5th National Senior Bowling Association title. Dave qualified 9th and accomplished this by defeating James Millen, Jr. of Redford, 267-227, Gerald Johnson from Riverview, 247-215, and Rick Capaldi from Canton, 235-213 to advance to the title match.

Tulak beat Larry Franz of Redford 254-203 to take home the championship trophy. Dave pocketed the winner’s check of $1,000 for his effort.

Franz qualified 6th and bowled the high game of the tournament in the first round when he easily defeated Edwin Peart of Southfield, 300-203. Larry then proceeded to beat John Thomasma of Kalamazoo, 258-205 and Joe Buffa of Macomb Twp., 258-200. Larry collected the runner-up check of $500.

High game honors went to Larry Franz with 300 and Steve Smith from Toledo, Ohio led the qualifying.
