Dick Selgo from Archbold, Ohio, picked up his 4th National Senior Bowling Association title on June 9, 2012 at Merri Bowl Lanes in Livonia. Selgo qualified 7th and edged Steve Mulka of Macomb Twp., 212-197 and then proceeded to beat Marc Fagenson from Huntington Woods, 225-205 and Nick Beelaard from Canada, 265-171 to advance to the championship round.
In a close game all the way to the 10th, Selgo finally emerged the winner with a 233-215 win over Doug Spicer of Canton. Dick pocketed the winner’s check of $1,000 and the championship trophy.
Spicer qualified 5th and had all his matches close in beating Greg Cohen f
rom Livonia, 228-215, John Thomasma from Kalamazoo, 247-232 and Steve Sears of Michigan Center, 230-203 before losing to Selgo. Doug collected the runner-up check of $500.
Tournament Director Bob Pniewski presents the trophy to this month's champion.

High game honors went to Fred McClain with 290 and Jim McPhail led the qualifying.
