Congratulations to Joe Krajenke from Clinton Twp. on winning his 3rd National Senior Bowling Association title. The tournament was held at Superbowl Lanes in Canton on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Joe qualified 13th and beat Mike Chapman from Garden City 216-179, Brian Senda of Manchester 226-213 and Phil Horowitz from West Bloomfield 215-187 to advance to the final match. Needing a mark in the 10th frame, Krajenke threw a strike to edge Doug Spicer of Canton, 222-220 for the victory.
Joe pocketed the winner’s check of $1,000 and the championship trophy for his effort.
Spicer qualified 11th and beat Dick Selgo from Archbold, Ohio 245-212, Steve Mulka of Macomb Twp. 209-171 and Jim McPhail from South Lyon 279-227 before losing to Krajenke. Doug collected the runner-up check of $500.
