Congratulations to Bobby Gross, Jr. from Springfield, Ohio on capturing his first National Senior Bowling Association title held at Cherry Hill Lanes in Dearborn Heights on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Bobby qualified 8th and edged Steve Sears of Michigan Center, 258-234, and then proceeded with wins over Gerald Johnson from Riverview, 232-208,
Rick Parschen from Strongsville, Ohio, 239-214 and in the final match; beat Joe Krajenke of Clinton Twp., 236-205. Bobby collected the top prize of $1,000 and the Championship trophy for his effort.
Krajenke, qualifying in the 15th spot proceeded to beat John Thomasma from Kalamazoo 256-202, Eddie Mintz of Canton 268-158 and in a squeaker got by Brian Dimuzio form Eastpointe, 216-215 before losing to Gross. Joe collected the runner-up check of $500.
High game honors went Marc Fagenson from Huntington Woods with 278 and Gerald Johnson led the qualifying.
