Larry qualified 4th and beat Hal Scales of Riverview, 237-200, and Lloyd McNabb from Warren, 252-148. The semi-final match wasn’t decided until the 10th frame when Larry emerged with a 258-247 win over Jim Richardson of Toledo, Ohio. Larry proceeded to edge Ed DeBlock from Canada 214-199 in the final match. For his efforts, Larry took home the top prize of $1,000 and the championship trophy while DeBlock settled for the runner-up check of $500.
1st Place $1000.00 plus Trophy Super Senior $90 & $90 JackPots 1st - $110, 2nd - $60, 3rd - $35 63 Entries DeBlock qualified 11th and edged Arnie Goldman from Inkster, 268-257, Joe Buffa of Macomb Twp., 262-211, and in a match that went back and forth and wasn’t decided until the final ball, Ed came away with a 186-184 victory to advance to the finals. Richard Kurt of St. Clair Shores recorded the high game with 290. The next NSBA tournament will be held at Merri Bowl Lanes in Livonia on July 14, 2007.

Larry Franz of Redford became only the 3rd bowler in the history of the National Senior Bowling Association to win back-to-back tournaments. Franz’ second victory came at Superbowl Lanes in Canton on June 9, 2007.
