Starting in 2008, the NSBA will be implementing a special point system to determine both Bowler of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Special prizes and recognition will be awarded to the winners in both categories based on the point system listed below.

First place:	10 points
Second place:	8 points
3rd & 4th place:	4 points
5th - 8th place:	3 points
9th - 16th place:	2 points
High Qualifier:	2 points
17th - 24th:	1 point
300 Game:	1 point
800 Series:	1 point
