Bill Stewart of Plainwell, won his first National Senior Bowling Association event at Troy Lanes in Troy on August 11, 2007 with a 220-215 triumph over last month’s winner, Enrico Odorico of Clinton Twp. Stewart took home the $1,000 first place check and trophy.

Qualifying in 18th  place, Bill beat George Lane from Chesterfield, 208-181, Jim Rock of Kalamazoo, 206-202, Arnie Goldman from Inkster, 245-181 and Dave Eatmon of Ferndale, 225-201 en route to the final match.

Odorico qualified 8th and defeated Dennis Korkoske of E. Lansing, 236-222, George Paynich from Portage, 255-175 and Mark Hatchigian of Novi, 195-159 to advance to the finals. Enrico settled for the runner-up check of $500.

Larry Walker of garden City recorded the high game with 289, and Tom Spigelmoyer from Kalamazoo was the high qualifier.
