Dan Mytty from Livonia won his first National Senior Bowling Association title on April 18th at Century Bowl in Waterford.  On a tough condition where it only took plus 9 to make the top 24, Dan qualified 5th and beat Charles Reynolds of Rossford, Ohio, 221-171, Gary Zarick from Macomb Twp., 263-226 and John Ciantar from Monroe, 268-179 to advance to the title match.

Mytty finished first to force Rick Vittone of Canada to throw 3 strikes for a tie, but Rick left a 4 pin on his second ball in the tenth.  That gave Dan a 224-213 victory and with his win, he received the first place check of $1,000, the championship trophy and towel for his effort.

Vittone qualified 11th and proceeded to beat Jack Logan of Plainwell, 245-201, Tony Stipcak of Redford, 215-192, Robert Michaux, Jr. from Detroit, 257-185 and Perk Fairris from Flint, 236-195. For his effort, Rick received the runner-up check of $500.

High game honors went to Charles Reynolds of Rossford, Ohio with 278 and Mike Lucente of Warren was the high qualifier.

The next NSBA tournament will be held at Skore Lanes in Taylor on May 9, 2009.
