November 2009 Results

Congratulations to Joe Buffa, Macomb Twp., on winning his second NSBA title this year which also puts him in the lead for Bowler of the Year Honors. The tournament was held on Saturday, November 14th at Taylor Lanes in Taylor.

Buffa qualified 11th and proceeded to beat Dennis Korkoske, E. Lansing, 205-183; Nick Beelaard from Canada, 218-212; Steve Hubble, Westland, 229-224 and Ralph Jennings of Detroit, 229-217 to advance to the final match against John Ross, Jr. from Vassar. Joe bowled 248 to John’s 213 for the victory and received the first place check of $1,000, and the championship trophy for his effort.

Ross qualified 14th and beat Ernie Segura, Sr., from Southgate, 247-211; Charles Reynolds, Rossford, Ohio, 279-243; Rick Parschen of Strongsville, Ohio, 245-220 and Dave Forfitt from Canada, 197-194. Ross received the runner-up check of $500.
