 The National Senior Bowling Association continues to grow as 80 plus bowlers competed at Bowl One Lanes in Troy on February 13. Ross Beers from Saginaw won the top prize of $1,000 in a game that wasn’t decided until the final ball was thrown. He emerged with a 268-258 win over Dave Forfitt of Canada. Forfitt settled for the runner-up check of $500.
Beers qualified 1st and beat Larry Walker of Garden City, 278-237, Rick Schultz from Warren, 279-193 and Rod Harling of Oak Park, 234-228. Forfitt qualified 11th and edged Tom DeBacker from Chelsea, 186-185, John Ross, Jr. of Vassar, 285-193, Rick Vittone of Canada, 223-200 and Steve Sears from Michigan Center, 224-213.
