Fred McClain, from Allen Park, won his first National Senior Bowling Association title in convincing fashion as he never gave his opponent a chance in the title match. Fred reeled off the front 11 strikes before a stubborn 10 pin stood for a 299-219 win over George Phillips from Centreville. In his other matches, McClain defeated Mike McCleskey of Southfield, 245-174, Dan Mayer of Waterford, 234-175 and Dick Selgo from Archbold, Ohio, 215-203.

Congratulations to Jack Dalie from Springfield, Ohio on his first National Senior Bowling Association championship. Jack started by qualifying 3rd and defeated Steve Scherle from Canada, 232-212, Tim Magyar, Redford, 212-197 and Joe Buffa from Macomb Twp., 256-232 to advance to the title match.

It took Ken Lang from Eastpointe, 3 years to get back into the winners circle as he defeated Leo Scantamburlo from Riverview, 225-197 to capture his second National Senior Bowling Association title. The tournament was held at 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights on January 14, 2012. Lang, qualifying 8th, defeated Joe Krajenke, Clinton Twp., 183-177, Ed DeBlock from Canada, 205-169dnf and Ron Burgess of Plymouth, 203-195 to advance to the final match.
